Pace strengthens key Networks Division with strategic appointments

Digital TV technologies developer, Pace plc, has made three senior appointments to its Networks business unit. Paul Wells joins Pace as Director of Engineering, Peter Balchin joins as Commercial VP and Steve Donachie takes on the role of Regional Sales Director covering customers in the UK, France, Benelux and Southern Europe. The appointments will bring additional expertise and sales skills to Pace's Networks Division as the company expands its product range across the video distribution chain as a way to pursue new business opportunities.
The Networks division is an integral team within Pace and has the objective to build out the company's strengths in head-end and video distribution technology through a new range of products that open up previously hard-to-reach audiences for operators as a means to deliver subscriber growth.

During his career Paul Wells has amassed extensive experience of the electronics industry working at both Fujitsu and Plessey. Most recently he was promoted to VP of Operations for semiconductor company Jennic from his former position as Head of Engineering. In his new position at Pace, Wells' principal focus will be to lead technology innovation, development and production across the range of Pace Networks' products.
Peter Balchin has held several positions in technology focused organisations. Most recently, he was the General Manager EMEA and APAC at Novatel Wireless and has also held the CEO position of Telint Global prior to this. Peter's primary focus will be to spearhead the global development of the Networks business.
New Regional Sales Director, Steve Donachie, is tasked with growing the customer base for the Pace Networks' MultiDweller distribution platform for high-occupancy buildings, taking on direct responsibility to develop business leads with new and existing customers in core markets. He joins Pace from international data support provider in the mobile phone industry, Wireless Data Services (WDS), where he was Head of Sales for Europe.
