OVERVIEW:

PACE DC758D

Welcome to the Pace Products

Pace DC758D Summit/Activa Pace family

Pace’s DC758D Summit HD set-top box introduces the latest advanced video technology in a feature rich and cost effective MPEG-4 / MPEG-2 HD unit.

The DC758D’s embedded conditional access technology enables operators to deploy a cost effective, secure video decryption solution. The cost and complexity of upgrading your network to use a CableCARD™ is eliminated by using Pace’s embedded security set-top boxes in conjunction with your existing network.

The DC758D also has a Serial ATA interface on the back panel for the connection of an external hard disk drive, thereby instantly turning the box into a DVR.

The box comes standard with dual video tuners that allow subscribers to record two channels simultaneously while watching previously recorded content.

The DC758D can support a range of hard drive models and capacities including the popular 1 Terabyte drives now on the market.

This advanced set-top box provides cable operators with two options for messaging and signaling between the box and the headend: DOCSIS signaling or legacy out of band. With the DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem, operators can enable next generation services like DSG and downstream channel bonding. Alternatively, many operators prefer to use the legacy out of band messaging system that provides a robust, secure platform for authorization entitlements, code download and billing system messages.

The Pace DC758D platform can run either native electronic program guide applications commonly found at today's cable systems including Video on Demand, as well as next generation tru2way applications.
