Technical Account Manager - Latin America

Purpose of the Job:

 

Professional position responsible for managing the launch and continued support of Pace products to various MSOs across the Latin Americas region.  Work also involves continued management of the relationship with various MSOs.

Principle Accountabilities:

 

As an example of some of the major responsibilities of the position:

  • Develops and updates the launch program for MSOs in the Americas region.
  • Engages in deployment / support of Pace products.
  • Interfaces directly with customers.
  • Handles scheduling of key deliverables of the launch and maintenance plan with each product and MSO.
  • Captures and reports on-going progress of customer issues.
  • Works in partnership with other departments to coordinate both the launch and continued support of Pace products.
  • Oversees the timing and coordination of units designated for demo's and field trials.
  • Maintains database of up to date information on each MSO with respect to launch plans, Maintenance releases, Guide migrations, VOD plans, and other areas critical to Pace.
  • Acts as champion for MSOs inside Pace to ensure that their requirements are met so that Pace can continue to provide relevant products that meet the needs of each MSO.
  • Assesses the potential field impact of software and hardware faults in conjunction with the Director of Technical Customer Support, so that priority can be assigned by engineering.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required due to high levels of customer interaction.
  • Strong time and priority management skills are essential.
  • Requires strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Requires knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Requires the ablility to learn high-level details of set-top functions and setup configurations.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL/VISUAL/HEARING ABILITIES

  • Requires the ability to perform light lifting in the handling of work materials and equipment. 
  • Requires visual skills necessary for reviewing a considerable amount of written materials for the accurate maintenance of information and records.
  • Frequent domestic and international travel is a significant element of the role, which may require driving a variety of rental vehicles.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree Required.
  • Proficient bi-lingual communication skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required.
  • Technical knowledge of integrated circuits, firmware, operating systems and applications is a plus.
    Familiarity with SW and Networking architecture and basic knowledge of Digital TV (MPEG) is preferred.
    Experience in Cable TV is very beneficial.
  • 3 - 5 Years of experience in a professional customer facing environment required.

Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
