• Be fully responsible for regular and cyclic system testing on one or more technology domains OR one or more product variants with a team of system test engineers along side.

• To undertake System Testing on feature and product releases with the goal of finding and recording as many defects as possible.
• To take part in assuring the quality of all products/systems and code releases
• To ensure that the systematic documentation of all System Test routines and results is maintained and all defects found are reported.
• To design and amend System Test procedures for new products/functionality in the system/device under test.
• To recommend design changes based on experience with the systems and how our customers use the systems.
• To help maintain test equipment and systems and keep them working at all times.
• To replicate and help diagnose problems seen by our key customers

Essential

• A minimum of HNC/HND in a relevant electronic discipline, or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of competency.
• Significant systems & product test experience in at least two of the following fields:
• Complex digital and analogue equipment, including RF broadcast technology
• Digital Video/Audio Systems
• Experience with MPEG transport stream processing and decoding; DVB SI and PSI
• Experience with high-speed network interfaces and associated stacks, especially Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN architectures
• Knowledge of AV-related network protocols; RTP, RTSP
• Knowledge of the DOCSIS cable data standard
• The ability to use initiative and expertise to develop routines and procedures to meet sub system test needs.
• Evidence of an interest in test methodologies across a broad spectrum of analogue and digital technologies.
• Computer literate to the level of familiarity with Windows and MS Office packages.
