Pace wins North of England & Northern Ireland Grant Thornton Business of the Year Award
Pace recognised at National Business Awards
July 10 2009
Pace plc has won the Grant Thornton Business of the Year Award at the regional final of the 2009 National Business of the Year Awards. The Awards, which were presented in Manchester yesterday evening (9 July 2009), are the UK’s premier, cross-industry Awards programme and a sought after business accolade.
Business of the Year is one of nine regional categories in the National Business Awards programme, with the winner expected to demonstrate exceptional financial returns, strong growth and innovation strategy, plus market leadership in its market.
As the regional winner for North of England & Northern Ireland, Pace will now go forward as a finalist in the National Business Awards programme in the autumn.
Helen Kettleborough, Director of Corporate Communications at Pace commented: “It is a great honour for Pace to be recognised by the National Business Awards judges and testament to the incredible work by everyone in the Company.”
This success comes only weeks after Pace’s Chief Executive Neil Gaydon was recognised at the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 regional awards. Neil has also been short-listed for the Institute of Directors Regional Director of the Year Award.
