  • Philips set-top box division acquisition [link]
  • Reclassification to FTSE technology sector [link]

2007

  • High Definition business won with BSkyB [link] and MultiChoice Africa [link]
  • Revenues more than doubled to £386.5m (2006/7 financial results) [link]
  • Award for the ‘Best Contribution to Digital TV’ launched with the DTG [link]
  • 25th Silver Jubilee year [link]

2006

  • SKY Italia launch of high definition in Italy with the Pace DS815NS [link]
  • Launch of early pan-European free-to-air HD satellite set-top boxes - the DS810XE [link]
  • Neil Gaydon appointed as Chief Executive Officer [link]

2005

  • Launch partner for Premiere's HD service in Germany [link]
  • Enters the Chinese market by securing contract with Galaxy Satellite Broadcasting [link]
  • Launches first fully operational mobile PVR device for payTV - the PVR2GO [link]
  • Manufacturing approach secures visit from Gordon Brown [link]

2002

  • Ships three millionth digital cable set-top box 2001
  • Agrees sale of UK-based service and repair business to the A Nova Group 1999
  • Acorn set-top box division acquisition
  • Delivers UK’s first ADSL set-top box

1998

  • Becomes first company to ship set-top boxes to BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting)
  • Only manufacturer to supply all three digital platforms in the UK; satellite, terrestrial and cable
  • Queen's Award for Environmental, Technological and Export Achievement

1997

  • Manufactures one millionth digital set-top box
  • Manufacturing facility awarded the coveted quality certification BS EN ISO 9002

1996

  • Lists on the London Stock Exchange
  • Manufactures 500,000th digital decoder

1995

  • Produces world’s first MPEG-2 digital satellite set-top box

1987

  • Launches its first analogue satellite set-top receiver

1985

  • Introduces first low cost, commercially available modem – the Nightingale

1982

  • Pace is founded
