Latens Belfast office was set up in June 2003 and is part of the Pace plc group. Latens develops Conditional Access Software which protects the content of Pay TV operators and has customers all around the world. Latens is also the developer of middleware software which allows operators to offer their customers features such as catch up TV, pause and rewind live TV, interactive services and more.
The main development, test and customer support teams are based in Belfast, other departments include project management, systems engineering, marketing, human resources and finance.

Latens office is located close to Belfast City Centre in the Stranmillis area of the city. In the local area of Stranmillis are prominent attractions such as the Ulster Museum, Botanic Gardens and the Queen's University along with shops, theatres and restaurants.
