Intertek accreditation allows customers to use Pace as single source for product safety testing and certification
Pace plc (LSE: PIC) has announced that it has been accredited by the Intertek CB Scheme, enabling Pace to conduct all necessary product safety testing and certification for customers, in-house. The accreditation allows Pace to provide customers with multiple national safety certifications for electronic products from a single source, reducing customers’ costs and time-to-market for new products.
Intertek is a global provider of quality and safety solutions for many of the world’s leading companies. The Pace safety laboratory received the CB Scheme accreditation by meeting specific requirements, including demonstrating that it conducts the required test procedures to the correct standard and providing evidence that it contains all the required equipment and calibration data.
David McKinney, Chief Operating Officer, Pace said: “Pace is already renowned for its rigorous reliability and safety testing procedures. The Intertek seal of approval takes this one step further, providing our customers with the certification they need to ship products to over 45 different markets around the globe without the time and cost involved in having to go to a third-party.”
Intertek’s CB Scheme, which was created by the International Electrotechnical Commission for Electrical Equipment (IECEE), is the world’s first international system for mutual acceptance of safety test reports and certificates.
